Towards a New Understanding and Measurement of Prosperity – Think7 Summit

Our future depends on our ability to transform our economic system – to take stewardship in transforming the system in accordance with our collective goals. This requires, first and foremost, reliable measures of progress so that we can evaluate if we reached our economic, social and environmental goals. Without a new definition of prosperity and economic growth, it will be impossible to effectively combat pandemics, climate change or global poverty. This Panel will discuss Questions like: What are the measures of success that should guide the politics on wellbeing? What is needed so that governments implement and use these indicators? What is the role and leverage of the G7 to promote a new understanding and measurement of prosperity?
